Our Process
Project Planning : Your Vision, Engineered
Initial Consultation
We take the time to understand your product idea, performance goals, usage environment, and desired aesthetics. Whether you're starting from a napkin sketch or detailed CAD files, we’ll help refine your concept into a manufacturable design tailored for the rotomoulding process. This is where your idea takes its first real shape.
Feasibility and Cost estimation
With your concept in hand, our team assesses its viability for rotomoulding—functionality, mold design, material choice, and production scalability. You’ll get a detailed cost estimate that covers mold development, per-unit pricing, lead times, and more. We’re transparent from the start so you can plan with confidence and avoid surprises down the road.
Design Development:
Turning Ideas into Reality
Concept and CAD Design
We start with concept sketches or reference materials, then develop full 3D CAD models that reflect your product's form, function, and features. These detailed digital prototypes let you visualize your product before tooling even begins.
Design Optimization
Rotomoulding has its own set of design rules—and we know them inside and out. We refine your model to ensure proper wall thickness, draft angles, material flow, and parting lines, all while keeping aesthetics and strength in mind. The result? A design that’s ready to mold efficiently and perform reliably.
Tooling and Mold Preparation
Mold Design and Fabrication
We engineer custom molds using materials like aluminum or steel—selected based on your production volume, budget, and part complexity. Each mold is designed with precision to meet the unique requirements of rotomoulding, including venting, cooling, and part-release systems.
Testing and Validation
Before full-scale production begins, we run test cycles to validate the mold’s performance. This ensures the final part meets all dimensional, strength, and aesthetic expectations. If adjustments are needed, we fine-tune everything until it’s just right—so when your product hits the line, it runs smooth.
Material Selection and Production Setup
Resin Selection
Not all plastics are created equal. We carefully select the ideal resin and additives based on your product’s performance needs—whether it's UV resistance, impact strength, food safety, or vibrant custom colors.
Machine Setup
Once the materials are locked in, our technicians configure and calibrate the rotomoulding equipment for your specific mold and resin. This includes setting temperatures, rotation speeds, and cycle times to ensure consistent wall thickness, strength, and surface quality—every time.
Rotomolding Process and Quality Control
Molding and Cooling
Our machines heat and rotate the molds on multiple axes, allowing the resin to coat every surface evenly. Once the part forms, we carefully cool it to lock in shape, strength, and durability. This process ensures seamless, stress-free parts with consistent wall thickness and performance.
Quality Assurance
Every part goes through a thorough inspection process. We check for surface defects, structural integrity, and dimensional accuracy to make sure your product meets the highest standards—ours and yours. Nothing moves forward until it’s just right.
Finishing, Packaging, and Delivery
Post-Processing
Once molded, each part goes through finishing steps like trimming excess material, smoothing edges, and assembling any additional components. Whether it’s adding hardware, graphics, or inserts, we make sure every piece meets your spec and looks the part.
Packaging and Shipping
Finished products are securely packaged to protect them in transit—whether heading across town or across the globe. We coordinate shipping and delivery schedules so you get your order on time, every time.
